Inclement Weather Policy

April 24, 2006

Dear League Representative:

As per our the Kearny Recreation Commission and Recreation Department it has been decided that no game, practice or use of a field will be started in the rain, or when ballfields and/or facilities have not had adequate maintenance due to inclement weather. In the best interest of all parties and to better maintain our facilities, effective immediately all permits are automatically cancelled when it is raining, or field is wet, or when ballfields and facilities have not had adequate maintenance due to inclement weather. You are to comply with this “Inclement Weather Policy” at all levels of competition and practices. Failure to comply with this regulation may cause revocation of future use and permits.

You must also realize that without a permit or playing on a field/facility where your permit has been officially/ “Automatically Cancelled” when raining, or when ballfields and facilities have not had adequate maintenance due to inclement weather creates a situation that puts you and/or your representatives in a negligent situation by not heeding the Kearny Recreation “Inclement Weather Policy.” You should also be aware that any insurance coverage may be invalidated if you disregard this policy.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this matter please contact me immediately at 201-955-7983.

Very truly yours,

Ralph Cattafi

Asst. Recreation Supervisor
